Jessica Richburg, founder of Jess Yoga, is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, wellness writer, and content creator committed to guiding others toward mindful, balanced living.
Jessica’s journey into yoga began during a challenging phase in college. Struggling with anxiety, depression, and a lack of purpose, she turned to yoga as a way to reconnect with herself. Over time, her home practice grew into a daily ritual — she practiced regularly, gained strength and flexibility, and discovered that on the mat, she could quiet her mind and connect with her breath.
Driven by a deeper curiosity about anatomy and healing, Jessica completed 500 hours of neuromuscular and therapeutic massage training, then pursued formal yoga teacher training. Her approach weaves together alignment-based Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, blending mindful sequencing with themes of breath awareness and self-inquiry. She also holds a 300-hour advanced yoga certification in yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, pranayama, meditation, and more, studying in Goa, India.
Jessica teaches in a variety of settings — online classes, courses, private sessions, workshops, and retreats — and has lived and taught in places like Bali and the U.S. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating safe, intentional space for growth and self-discovery.
Her dedication to her students and her craft has earned her heartfelt praise from her community: her voice is often described as calming, her teaching as accessible yet profound, and her guidance as being deeply supportive and injury-aware.
Beyond yoga, Jessica is a storyteller and advocate for mindful living. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys writing, painting, cooking, traveling, and journaling — practices that align with her belief that yoga is a lifelong path of compassion, creativity, and self-awareness.
