Improve Agility and Deceleration | 5 Drills For Footballers
Description
In today's video, Calvin and I will take you through a 10 minute training session. We demonstrate 5 simple exercises to improve your agility and deceleration as a footballer. Each drill includes agility movement in a tight area followed by a 5 yard sprint to decelerate as fast as possible in between the 2 cones (or a line).
Equipment: 6 Cones
Structure: Make a 4 by 4 box, then walk out 5 yards and place the other 2 cones down as a reference to stop (in between the cones) after your 5 yard sprint.
Perform 5 exercises, one rep each side, making it 10 total reps (1 round). Rest 30 seconds to 2 minutes before moving on to the next rep. Depending on where you are in your season, you can complete 1-3 rounds (rest one minute before starting the next round).
