Struggling to keep the lead arm straight in the golf swing? Your body may be the possible reason why you can't keep your lead arm straight in the golf swing.

Keeping your lead arm straight in the golf swing is helpful to create width. In theory, having a wider arc throughout the golf swing will help the golf ball travel further. Of course that's assuming your swing is on plane.

Tightness in your shoulder can limit your ability to keep your lead arm straight. It could possibly the backside of the shoulder and/or the lats.

You may also have difficulty with being able to bring your shoulder blade forward on your torso, which is needed for when trying to create more width by keeping your lead arm straight.
