Golf Backswing Exercise - Bigger Backswing - 3-Step Process For Improving Hip Mobility
Feb 3, 2026
Description
A bigger backswing can help you get more distance on your shots. But if you lack mobility in your hip, it’s going to be hard to get a bigger backswing...
Hip mobility plays a vital role in the golf swing. In order to have an efficient and effective backswing, you need to have sufficient hip internal range of motion. Most often this motion is lacking mobility because most people neglect to work on it, especially as we get older.
Unfortunately, when we lack hip mobility we make up for that loss somewhere else. That’s usually the low back. But the low back isn’t designed well to rotate repeatedly. This lack in hip mobility could be part of the reason so many golfers, maybe even you, might have back pain during and after a round of golf!
I want to show you an easy 3-step process that will help you improve your hip internal rotation mobility so you can get more distance on all of your shots.
