Seated SOMATIC YOGA Neck Shoulders TMJ ⎹ Vagus Nerve Reset ⎹ 10 minutes

Description

This is a 10-minute somatic yoga practice designed to gently support vagus nerve regulation while releasing tension held in the neck, shoulders, jaw, and TMJ. Grab your beach towel or blanket.

We’ll move slowly and intentionally, using subtle somatic movements, awareness, and breath to help the nervous system sense safety. This practice isn’t about stretching deeper or fixing anything — it’s about listening, softening, and allowing the body to reorganize from the inside out.

These areas of the body are closely connected to stress response and emotional holding. As we explore small movements and pauses, you may notice sensations like warmth, ease, or space — signs the nervous system is shifting out of high alert and into regulation.

This short practice is supportive if you’re experiencing:
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Jaw clenching or TMJ discomfort
• Stress, overwhelm, or nervous system fatigue
• A need for a quick vagus nerve reset

You can practice this seated or on the mat, anytime you need a moment to reconnect with your body and breath.

Move gently. Take breaks as needed. Let this be enough.
