The Most Challenging Leg Exercise?
Description
It's up for debate, but in my opinion the one-legged squat, commonly referred to as the "pistol" squat, is the most challenging bodyweight leg exercise you can do. It requires so much: strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance, all in one very potent movement.
In this video I break down a little bit of the dynamics of the one-legged squat, and some tips to guide you if it's something you're interested in doing.
I must warn you here, this movement places A LOT of pressure on the knees. So unless you're very comfortable with you knee strength and capabilities, take it easy with this one.
